About Dukan

Dukan International LTD is a wholly owned and registered Sierra Leonean company focused on playing key roles in transforming the business landscape in Sierra Leone; to make it efficient, transparent, and to engage in sustainable ventures in the healthcare, security, mining, agriculture, and other business sectors of interest as they arise.

Founded in May 1996, the company established three enterprising ventures in the mining, agriculture, and fisheries sectors before the notorious Sierra Leone civil war of the 1990s destabilized the country. Activities in the mining sector included, mining diamonds, buying from local small-scale miners, and exporting to partners in the U.K and Belgium. Dukan still maintains vast alluvial diamond mining concessions in the southern and eastern districts of Sierra Leone. Activities in the agriculture sector involved trading in cocoa with a locally based Israeli partner by sourcing from a consortium of farmers from the southern region of Sierra Leone. In the fisheries sector, activities involved largely procurement through local fishing consortiums and selling to foreign vessels at sea.

Dukan in collaboration with Tanit Medical Engineering LTD is now fully engaged in establishing local capacity in Sierra Leone to deliver complete end-to-end solutions in the healthcare sector - medical equipment procurement, installation, training, and maintenance over the products lifetime.
